We are looking for a new Executive Director to help lead our organisation. This role sits on our Executive team and reports directly to the Comptroller and Auditor General.
The Executive Team takes collective responsibility for the success of the NAO and to execute the NAO’s strategy for 2025 to 2030.
Executive Directors provide dynamic and visible leadership to around 200 highly skilled financial and performance auditors responsible for auditing a group of government department and major public bodies. Driving performance and enabling continuous improvement will be core to the role.
We are looking for an exceptional corporate leader with significant senior experience, who combines insightful intellect, people skills and a strong collaborative approach to inspire and get the best from people. You will be passionate about the opportunity to help government make better use of its resources in solving the big challenges facing the UK.
