We are delighted to announce the creation of a new Chief People Officer role. This role will sit on our Executive team and report directly to the Comptroller and Auditor General, leading a team of around 30. This new appointment reflects the importance of our people agenda at the heart of our organisational strategy.
The NAO has an ambitious five-year strategy and organisational development plan. In these we set out that hiring, developing and engaging the right people is essential to our organisation. It is for this reason that we are creating a new role at Executive Director level. The Chief People Officer will influence strategy, bring fresh ideas, drive improvement, and act as the NAO’s senior adviser on all matters relating to people.
