Gareth Davies, the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of the National Audit Office, has reported on the 2020-2021 accounts of the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE).
He has qualified his audit opinion because LGBCE exceeded its Resource Annually Managed Expenditure limit by £53,000. This was exceeded because of the cost of returning its office accommodation to the condition it was when LGBCE began occupying it.
