Gareth Davies, the Comptroller and Auditor General (C&AG) of the National Audit Office, has qualified his audit opinion on regularity on the BBC Group Annual Report and Accounts 2018-19. His report sets out the basis for the qualification, which relates to £12m costs associated with a provision for a settlement with HMRC.
